Directors cut for “Yamaha - Search for More” with up-close sound design and mix. The processing on the voiceover is a balance of overdrive and compression to bring the voice forward. Fast cuts and glitch style editing calls for punchy and edgy sound design. Heavily saturated sound mix pulls the listener closer to the message to “find the fire that guides you”

CoPilot

Short film shot using mixed reality virtual production in Unreal Engine. Utilizing the same in-camera VFX technology as seen in The Mandalorian. The goal in audio post production was to create immersive soundscapes with each new turn of the cube. Sound design for the cube represents a tie between the environment and the main character.

Children Believe ad campaign directed by Nicholas Taylor. The up-close sound design is reflective of the intimate set and setting of Ethiopia in the golden hour. Location audio was enhanced using ambience and detailed foley that brings us closer to the picture. The mix balance of sound design, music and voice-over helps carry the story and engage the viewer.

'“Credo: Visual Exegesis”

director: Tyler Funk

A visually stunning expression of Christian Worthington’s art captured by the documentary director Tyler Funk is truly fascinating. The sound behind the film is based on the choral ambient minimalism which highlights the etheral quality of inspiration. Score was accomplished by combining numerous layers of textural and choral drones wieaving in and out of listeners awareness throughout the film. Carefully placed subtle sound design cues processed with a number of spacial effects to bring a defining quality to the overall soundtrack of the film.

A heartwarming story about a family from Finland, Minnesota who care for 60+ purebred Siberian Huskies. Their devotion to the sport of mushing, spirit of adventure, and commitment to the well being of their dogs.

Dennis Lin is a graduate of the Ontario Collage of Art (Now known as the Ontario College of Art and Design). Through the manipulation of various materials, his work is influenced by – and concerned with – patterns of consumption, sustainability of the human population given these patterns, and the earth’s threshold to maintain them. His work can be found in public and private collections internationally.

 “Old hat”

A day in the life of a hat. Nathan Dueck creates hats out of carefully selected recycled fabrics and locally sourced empty ice-cream pails used for the brim. Tyler shot the ad with the idea of having music and sound effects combine and be a part of the story. Foley combined with the melody and rhythm of the music create an engaging and interesting viewing experience.
